On Election Day, 14 September, you must vote in the municipality in which you are registered in the National Population Register as residing at 30 June.
If you wish to vote in advance, you can do so in any municipality in Norway. The deadline for advance voting in Norway is 11 September. If you vote in advance in a municipality other than your home municipality, your vote will automatically be sent to your home municipality.
The municipal councils decide which polling stations are to be used and what the opening hours are to be, both for voting in advance and on Election Day. So contact the municipal authority for further information about polling stations and polling hours. Find the municipality’s website (link to Norge.no).
If you are on holiday or are abroad for other reasons and cannot vote in Norway, you can vote in advance at many of the Norwegian foreign service missions. The deadline for voting in advance abroad is 4 September.
