Agriculture & rural areas 

The County Administrative Board is geared towards making an impact at a regional level with the EU and Sweden's agricultural and rural policy, including the Rural Development Programme. This means that agriculture shall be competitive and sustainable while organic farming increases and valuable natural and cultural landscapes are preserved.  A prosperous countryside also means that there is alternative employment, good service and an attractive living environment.
