Competition
The County Administrative Board should promote efficient competition in the private and public sector for the benefit of consumers and tax payers. This work is done in close collaboration with the Swedish Competition Authority.
We shall provide information about competition issues and bring to the attention of the Swedish Competition Authority any circumstances that suggest infringements of competition regulations.
Competition encourages better use of community resources and makes it possible for new companies to enter the market. For competition to work, effective rules need to be in place. The Swedish Competition Act defines the framework of what is permitted.
The government procurement of goods and services shall be conducted in the correct manner. The aim is for the providers to face equal competition conditions and for public resources to be used in the ideal manner.
Do you suspect that certain tenderers have agreed to limit or eliminate competition? If so, you should contact the County Administrative Board or the Swedish Competition Authority.
