“ađa” has won the architectural competition PDF Print
Senate Properties held an architectural competition for the Sámi Cultural Centre to be built by the Juutuanjoki River in the village of Inari. The first prize of 40,000 euros was won by the entry entitled “ađa” (“the core”) by Janne Laukka, M.Arch. SAFA, and students of architecture Tuomas Niemelä and Milla Parkkali.

 

According to the jury, the proposal is efficient and worthy of development as a functional solution and it best fulfils the aims set for the competition. A total of three prizes were awarded in the competition, one entry was purchased and two honourable mentions were granted.
