Costs regarding participation at the Pan-Sami meeting

There has been raised some questions about how the covering of the costs regarding the participation at the Pan-Sami meeting will be fulfilled. Therefore we’d like to explain the conditions for achieving a reimbursement of the costs regarding participation at the Pan-Sami meeting.

The covering of the costs for participating at the Pan-Sami meeting is limited.

  • It will only be covered up to the amount of 4000 NOK (approximately 667 USD) for one participant from each organization. If there is more than one participant from the same organization then any costs regarding those other participants must be covered by the participant(s) them self or by their organization.
  • If a Sami organization decides on participating with more than one person at the Pan-Sami meeting, the organization itself needs to identify which one of the participants will take use of the offer of reimbursement.
  • Costs beyond the amount of 4000 NOK will not be covered by the Sami Parliament. It will not be covered for more expenses than what is verified by receipts.
  • Costs will only be refunded in accordance with expenses receipts, except the travel cost for driving a car to Inari which will be covered by ordinary (Norwegian) rates for such expenses. A travel form must be sent the Sami Parliament in Norway after the Pan-Sami meeting. Those who can take use of this offer of reimbursement should therefore take care of any receipts connected to the Pan-Sami meeting, so they can be attached with the travel form as verification for their expenses.
  • The meeting participant needs to mark the travel form with which Sami organization he/she represented at the Pan-Sami meeting.
