To add to or replace the preselected keyboard layout in GNOME, follow these
steps:

# Click __Activities__ to bring up the search box:\\

# Search for __Region & Language__, and click on it when listed:\\

# In the __Region & Language__ settings pane, click on the plus sign in the
  lower left corner of the __Input Sources__ field:\\

# Click the triple dots to show more languages:\\

# Find and select your keyboard layout, and click __Add__:\\

# Click on __Options__ to see the configured shortcuts:\\
